Found this lil gem! They were friendly when I walked it. It was packed on a weekday in the middle of the day. I knew the food would be good. The fried shrimp taco was my favorite.

All the waitresses and staff are so friendly amazing smiles. I love the fish taco. It is huge and cooked perfectly. Another favorite is the Aguachile really hot but also very delicious.

Picked up food to go for a dinner with friends at their home. Mariscos El Jato is one of their favorite places so I was excited to try it! First of all, parking in the area can be difficult. While there is a tiny lot behind the restaurant, it was full and the adjacent Evergreen street was also packed. Eventually I found parking but it was slightly stressful. My friend ordered all of his favorite dishes: Fried shrimp tacos (5/5) my favorite dish by far! It was crunchy, loaded with shrimp, and just delicious. Fish tacos (4/5) fried fish, corn tortillas, salsa... yum! Botana (5/5) this dish blew me away! The sheer volume of food was awesome! And all of the seafood was fresh and delicious. Definitely a must order especially if you like seafood. This restaurant is very popular and was packed when I visited. As I waited to get my order a steady stream of customers flowed in and out. Always a good sign. And when they handed me two large bags of food, I thought, what the heck did my friend order? Is this all for us? Turns out it was and the restaurant is just very generous with portions. I would definitely return and order the exact same dishes. An excellent place to have good seafood at an affordable price! I had the pleasure of luncheon at Mariscos El Jato in East Los Angeles, and it was a fantastic experience! Their shrimp tacos are among the best I've ever had - the taco shells were delightfully crunchy, and the fish and shrimp inside were incredibly fresh and served piping hot. Their ceviche was a standout as well, featuring generous portions of large shrimp and octopus. The service was top-notch, they were highly attentive and lightning-fast.
